Back on the Track..

February 23rd, 2009

We had a busy 2008 in our first year, as we iron out the wrinkles in this project. It might be a little late to say this, but we had a great show Sept. 21 at Rojo!! Jon Vogel and Vulture Whale each played great sets and brought a terrific crowd.

So what’s next, you ask?

Lotsa stuff, if you must know…

Warning Track is currently working with Beck Hall on his latest project - I won’t go into too much detail right now, but this year will be busy for Beck, as he has assembled some of the finest musicians in Birmingham to play on an album that promises to be no less than a fabulous showcase of amazing musical talent.

And Warning Track’s Go Tell Crusade is recording as we speak, and will announce the release of its new album shortly. They will be playing several shows around the ‘Ham, so check them out!

Thanks for the continued support, folks! We believe that Birmingham has a fabulous music scene and speaks for itself, but it doesn’t hurt to have a loud voice spouting its praises!!!!

We hope to keep the music fans busy in Birmingham this Spring and Summer as we put together some fantastic shows around town.

One Last Hour… And More!!!

August 20th, 2008

After apprearing on WBHM’s Tapestry, (Click here to listen to the interview), David Seale had a release party at Rojo on the 17th for his latest album and WT release One Last Hour, with songs inspired by Memphis author Richard Murff’s novel of the same name.

Thanks to Matthew Mayfield for following David with a stellar set of his own.

Seale and Murff were recently on the Memphis CBS affiliate’s morning show as well, (View the broadcast here!)

We have another WT showcase at Rojo Sunday, Sept. 21 featuring Wes McDonald and Jon Vogel. If you missed these guys the last time they played Rojo, you missed a helluva night. Don’t miss it again!

WARNING TRACK UPDATE

July 14th, 2008

With three successful shows in the last few weeks, we are really building up steam and we appreciate your support. There is just so much great music here in Birmingham, and we want you to hear ALL OF IT.

The CD Release Party at Bottletree June 27 featured some incredible acts, and anyone who came out that night knows what an amazing night of music that was. Kudos to Sparrow, 3 Hour Tour, Matthew Mayfield and Vulture Whale for a phenomenal performance.

We followed that show with a nice little Sunday gig at one of our favorite nightspots, Rojo. Les Nuby and David Seale played to a relaxed Sunday crowd in the side room. Nuby played solo material that we hope you get to hear more of in the next several months. And David Seale played several songs off the next Warning Track release, One Last Hour.

We came back to Rojo July 13 as Sparrow, Jon Vogel and Wes McDonald dazzled a packed room all night. What a show! I have never heard the Sparrow girls sound better, and Vogel rocked. Wes was as entertaining as he has ever been and the Sunday night crowd left with their ears pleased and their stomachs full. Thanks, Rojo!

OK SO HERE”S WHATS UP………………
July 31 at Cave 9 another fabulous Warning Track event: Vulture Whale, The Photonicas, and To Light A Fire - all bands feature on the Summer Compilation will perform with two other acts to be named later. Stay tuned for more info…

August 17th at Rojo - David Seale will release One Last Hour, an album with songs inspired my the novel of the same name written by Memphis author Richard Murff. Richard and David, longtime friends, worked together on this project, both the book and the album are superb. Seale and Matthew Mayfield will play, in one of my favorite evening settings at Rojo. CDs as well as the novel will be on sale, and author Richard Murff will be in attendance.
